Abstract

Relevance: According to WHO, the number of patients a year diagnosed with sepsis exceeds 49 million cases, of which half are children? Sepsis kills 11 million people every year.
Objective: To study the methods of diagnosis and treatment of sepsis for accurate diagnosis and first aid.
Materials and methods: The basic concept of sepsis is that it is an acute life-threatening condition characterized by organ dysfunction due to a violation of the regulation of the immune response to infection. The provoking infection is often bacterial, usually occurring in the respiratory, genitourinary or gastrointestinal systems, as well as in the skin or soft tissues. Clinical signs include fever, tachycardia, confusion, and signs of primary infection. Sepsis screening tools, including general clinical variables and laboratory indicators, are used to facilitate early detection of sepsis.
