THE VALUE OF EXPLANATORY DICTIONARIES IN THE LIFE OF A PERSON AND SOCIETY

The study is devoted to the study of the classification of dictionaries, changes introduced by scientific and technological progress. The paper discusses the main types of dictionaries, their purpose; the definition of dictionaries of different types is given. Evolution of dictionaries has been proven; a survey was conducted. The study of the role of dictionaries in the life of a modern person has shown that these reference books do not lose their significance and relevance.
