The key topics include the potential meaning of let; the case of the pronoun after let; the argument of the passive forms of let; the meaning constraint of the speech act verb after let; the pragmatic functions of the discourse marker let us say, focusing on the syntactic form, semantic meaning and related pragmatic back ground of the construction.
