THE ROLE OF NEUROIMMUNE FACTORS IN AFFECTIVE DISORDERS IN EPILEPSY

The chronization of the inflammatory process in epilepsy was facilitated by the activation of microglia and astrogliosis, which began with damage to neurons. The main basis of this kind of work is damage to the central nervous system. This leads to the emergence of an epileptic syndrome and the development of a whole cascade of immune reactions or restrains it. In this case, inflammatory factors and innovations in immunology, such as TNF-a (tumor necrosis factor alpha), interleukin-1 beta (Il-1B) and interleukin-8 (Il-8), play the greatest role.
