Abstract

The article discusses the main directions of a balanced urban development. As foreign and domestic practice shows, ensuring a balanced development of cities (large, medium, small) Uzbekistan should be carried out by identifying and supporting leading cities that are «locomotives», as well as progressive intellectual tendencies.
