WOMEN’S REPRESENTATION LITERARY AND SOCIAL FIELD

Abstract

This article examines the portrayal of women in some European tales and stories but in social sphere too. Its main aim is to describe, through a sociolinguistic approach, the social representations of women in oral literature and to identify the underlying attitudes expressed by the female characters and the roles they fill.
